A Very Busy Week – High Five For Friday #45

High Five For Friday at Tea Time Blog

This past week has been a very busy week and really exhausting, too. November is a month of loads of work and loads of things we do with our friends which makes me incredibly happy!!! Let’s have a look back onto this last week before I am telling you more about the rest of our November plans:

1. A Left-Over Smoothie

Last Friday, before we were heading up to my hometown, I made this yummy smoothie out of a left-over mango and some plums before they would go off while we were gone. The taste of it was so extremely delicious!!!! I should do this more often… and maybe, I will share the recipe with you if you are interested.

2. Fun Fair and Cotton Candy

Friday night, we went out to Europe’s largest fun fair in Soest which is very close to my hometown! I was very happy to spend this night with many of my friends and to eat loads of different things such as cotton candy, fried almonds, fried Camembert cheese and much more… (I never go on any of the rides but I love the atmosphere and enjoy eating all the things you only get at a fun fair…)

3. Cinnamon Rolls

Speaking of food, on Saturday, we went to a friend’s house and were pampered with these yummy cinnamon rolls she baked for us! I love visiting my friends from home! Not just because of all the delicious food they are feeding us with but also because I rarely get the chance to see them. Next time will be right before New Year’s when we go there for the New Year’s celebration.

4. A Sunday walk

On Sunday, before heading home again, we met my aunt and uncle and we went for a stroll around their cute little village. There, I found this beautiful Scandinavian style house which I really like! That reminded me of my plans to go and travel Scandinavia some day…

5. Homemade Mussles

I started the week with delicious food and that is how it is ending as well! Last night, we tried to make mussels for the very first time in our life and they were fantastic!!! I am definitely going to share the recipe for the sauce and will give you advice on how to best eat them next week for Tuesday Recipe Link-Up.

Weekend Preview

This weekend is going to be very exciting. Tonight, Christian’s work colleagues are coming along to see the house and have a great night. My parents also arrive tonight and they will stay until Monday. We are probably going out on Sunday if the weather is ok. Tomorrow morning, another friend is stopping by for breakfast and to also see the new house.

The next two weeks will go on exactly like that. On Tuesday next week, one of my best friends is coming to finally hit the wedding dress shops and see if we can find me something suitable… The week after that, two friends from my hometown are visiting us with their kid and the month will end with a visit of my Spanish and English friend from the UK for a Christmas market hopping weekend. I really look forward to these next two weeks!!!
