Good evening! I hope you had a fantastic day! My day was alright considering the fact that it was the first day back at work after my holidays…
Yesterday night, I spent some time to work on my holiday pictures and I just HAVE to show you the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in!!! Look at my earlier post when I posted some of the pictures from the hotel website and compare it to my real pictures!
When we arrived we were welcomed by a beautiful room and a very very comfortable bed! I promise, it does not just look like it is comfy but it truly is!!!
The service at the Diamond Deluxe Hotel is AWESOME! It is basically like heaven on earth. For me, it is the little extras you get that make the difference!
Also I had the impression that somebody made a great job in decorating and designing the whole place! There was so much attention to detail which is amazing!
With only 100 beds, the small hotel has a HUGE outdoor area with a massive pool (2,000 square meters!!!). Because of the huge outdoor part, you never really noticed many of the other guests which made our stay extremely quiet and relaxing! Doesn’t it just look extremely stylish and beautiful?
We also went to the beach one day but it was a bit too windy to spend a lot of time there. Also, the rocks make it quite difficult to enter the ocean but can you see how happy I am???
In terms of food, they do not leave a single which unfulfilled! Every day during lunch time, we had a little snack and ordered a bottle of white wine with it! We LOVE white wine! I know, it is a bit decadent to have a whole bottle just for lunch but hey, we were on holidays! (I should probably not mention that we also had a second bottle to go with our dinner, right???). The buffet in general was huge as well including a large salad bar, live cooking and a great variety of deserts! One evening we had a greek themed dinner with a giant choice of different types of meat! Afterwards, my stomach was sooooo big that it looked as if I was pregnant with twins (which I then named Gyros and Suvlaki…).
The seating area of the restaurant where we had our breakfast and dinner was surrounded by parts of the enormous pool and it was nice to being able to sit outside while eating. After dinner, we then usually made our way to the pool bar where we had some cocktails to finish off the day…
There is nothing missing in this hotel and I can totally recommend going there! The only downside was the scale in the bathroom of our double room. I should not have done it but I weighed myself the minute we arrived and the minute we left and I couldn’t believe my eyes: I gained 3 (that is THREE in words) kilos and I can only blame the cook of this great hotel (ok, and a bit myself for only lying on my sun bed by the pool with almost no movement at all…)
Have you ever stayed in a great hotel like this one? Where was that and why was it so great? Please share!
