High Five For Friday #26

Hello my friends! Another stressful but awesome week has passed here in Southern Germany. I am just really happy right now because it is Friday and I am hopefully going to see one of my best friends again tomorrow who lives far away in San Francisco but is in Germany for a few days…

Looking back to the past week, I feel really happy about it:

High Five For Friday at Tea Time Blog

1. Party Snacks

Tea Time Blog - High Five For Friday 26 - Cute party snacks

Did I mention before that Christian’s sister is AMAZING in the kitchen? She makes these little party snacks in no time and I was happy to help her prepare all of the incredible snacks she made for her mother’s 60ies birthday party last Saturday!!! I am going to upload another post with even more beautiful pictures of what she does in a few days!!!

2. Studying

Tea Time Blog - High Five For Friday 26 - Learning foreign languages

I love learning foreign languages and after a short break I took from my Spanish studies due to the renovation, I am happy to announce that I am well back on track! I have been studying and reading a lot in Spanish this week and I came up with 8 Tips that help you learn a foreign language.

3. My First Spanish Book

I have also started to read my first ever book in Spanish. It is a short story but I am proud of myself for being able to read it. There is another, bigger book, waiting for me as soon as I’ve finished reading and analyzing this one!!!

4. Summer and Flip Flops

Tea Time Blog - High Five For Friday 26 - Summer and Flip-FlopsThe best thing about summer? For me that certainly is the fact that I can wear Flip Flops again!!! There are no other shoes that are more comfortable! I love the fresh air around my toes as I really hate warm feet (I know, I am not a typical girl when it comes to this…).

5. A New Long-Term Challenge

Tea Time Blog - High Five For Friday 26 - 1001 Books

When I left the UK in 2011, one of my dearest friends gave me this great gift! Seriously, what better gift is there for a book worm like me than a book about books??? I love it!!! Now, I feel the time is right to start a new challenge: The #1001books challenge. My plan is to read all of the books mentioned in there. I am not going to set a time restriction to this challenge. It may take several years, centuries or the rest of my life but I am going to read all the books in there eventually!

Weekend Preview

I already mentioned that I look forward to seeing one of my best friends tomorrow, hopefully.

Today, there is another social village activity going on in our little village: A Penalty Kick Competition. This is more about drinking and celebrating summer with friends in the sun than about winning… It is the first time, I am taking part in this as a playing group member…

Cow Lottery

On Sunday, there is also going to be the cow lottery once again!! This is soooo much fun and every year I can’t wait to attend it!!!

  1. Can’t wait to see what other cute snacks Christian’s sister made! I think you’re very courageous to undertake the #1001books challenge, it would seriously take me centuries, but I’m sure you can do it! Have a nice weekend and good luck for the cow lottery! ;)

  2. Sounds like you had quite a busy week! We’ve been spending every ounce outside that we can and are so looking forward to another sunshine filled weekend!
