I am back!!! Last weekend was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!! I can’t wait to show you some pictures from our South Tyrol trip last weekend! We went there for 5 days over easter and had such a great time! That is why today’s High Five For Friday will be a South Tyrol edition:
1. Amazing Food in South Tyrol
Every single day we had such an amazing dish during our hikes! It is the traditional food that you can get at the different privately managed restaurants along the hiking trail and together with a glass of red wine they are absolutely delicious!!!
2. Ice Cream on a Warm Day
On Easter Sunday, we were really lucky with the weather and spend the morning in a park with beautiful and exotic flowers as well as a nice lake! Around the time we got to the lake it was already so warm that we couldn’t resist from eating an ice cream! What can be better on a warm day???
3. Beautiful Views
After our visit to the beautiful gardens, we went hiking for some even better views of the area around Meran. Hiking was exhausting for me, especially as our friends are well experienced hikers, but it was totally worth it as the views were breathtaking!
4. Thermal Bath
After the beautiful weather on Sunday, Monday followed with pouring rain. What else to do than go to the thermal bath? You can still swim outside as the water is 37°C warm… we also did some sauna sessions which was amazing and we felt soooo warm from the inside afterwards!
5. Back to breathtaking views
Tuesday was the day we had to go back home but before we took the three hour drive back over the Alps, we went hiking one last time. With a cable car, we went very high up onto the mountain and then walked to a mountain pasture where we had our very last alpine meal with ham and cheese!!! Perfect ending to a lovely trip!!!
This weekend will be much more relaxed. My parents, who are still in South Tyrol, will stop by here on Saturday for one night on their way back home. Apart from that, we do not have any major plans. I ordered the new fitness program from Tracy Anderson which is called Metamorphosis and is supposed to shape my body to a perfect shape within 90 days… I am going to start testing this as part of my fitness project…
