Hiking, Yummy Food and 2 1/2 Visitors – High Five For Friday #47

High Five For Friday at Tea Time Blog

I am very sorry for the lack of posts this week but we had visitors from my hometown here and I simply did not have the time to sit down, take pictures and/or write a decent blog post. Our friends and their child (the cutest ever!!!) have left last night and as my work meeting today has been postponed from 9am to 11am, I now have time to at least do my High Five For Friday post:

1. Wedding Dress Shopping and A Lake

Last Saturday, we went back to the store to buy my wedding dress! I am so so happy about having found this amazing dress that is so me!!!! Afterwards, on our way home, we stopped at this cute lake where we’ve been hiking before. It looked so peaceful in these late afternoon hours…

2. A Sunday Hike

Sunday afternoons are perfect for hikes! Especially if the weather is as awesome as it was last weekend! We were hiking around this fantastic moor with the most incredible natural shapes!

3. Reflections

I just love this picture which I’ve also taken at the moor. With all these reflections, it makes a great composition, don’t you think?

4. Cinnamon Stars

It feels a lot like Christmas lately in our house… First, I decorated the place last weekend and then, I started my Christmas cookie baking adventure! The cinnamon stars were the first ones I made but there will be more! I love baking Christmas cookies and giving them away as little presents!

5. Cheese Fondue

As we are living very close to Switzerland, the swiss Cheese Fondue is also a major thing around here. We did not have it in a long time. This week, it was very cold outside and we wanted to make something yummy for our friends from my home town. That is why we came up with the idea of making our own cheese fondue. It was so extremely yummy!!! Who wants the recipe???

Weekend Preview

The last visitors have gone yesterday night and the next two will arrive tonight! I am very happy to welcome two friends from the UK who I met during my masters degree over there! They have been here last year already and are joining us again this weekend for some serious Christmas Market hopping! This is going to be so much fun! We are also going to one of the most delicious steak places tomorrow night which I cannot wait for!!!
