Inspirational Bloggers: Marie-Pier from Four Seasons at Home

Today it is time for another part of my Inspirational Bloggers Series. After interviewing Joanna from Another House Blog last week, I am going to presenting you another awesome girl and her blog today:

Inspirational Bloggers - Four Seasons at home

I found Marie-Pier’s blog at the beginning of the year and fell in love with all her amazing recipes straight away! We certainly share the love for cooking and baking (and for our beloved KitchenAid…). Also, we are both IKEA addicts! We already figured out that there are some things we both have and there are definitely some things on my list to get for our new home that I already saw in her photos.

Unfortunately, we have not met in person yet but with her living in Canada and me in Europe, it is quite hard to arrange this. But I am sure, if either of us is traveling to the other destination we would love to meet in person! If you keep reading a blog for a while you kind of get to know the person and it is really nice to have some online friends all over the world!

What I also admire is her ability to write extremely touching and personal blog posts. I can tell from her words that she is putting so much love into this and that inspires me the most!

Marie-Pier also answered some questions for me so that you can all get to know her a bit better:

1. What is your name and the name of your blog?

My name is Marie-Pier and I write the blog Four Seasons at Home.

2. Tell us a bit more about yourself (what are your hobbies and passions? Where are you from? Where do you live right now?)

I live in Lévis which is located on the south shore of Québec City, Canada. I am a big fan of cooking and baking, I love to entertain friends at home, travel and enjoy the small pleasures of life. Oh and I’m a crazy cat lady.

3. When did you start blogging and why?

I started blogging almost two years ago in May 2012. Since I live in a place where 100% of the population speaks French, starting a blog in English was a way for me to improve my skills. At that time, I was about to move in my first property and I though blogging about everything house-related could be fun and I couldn’t be more happy about that decision!

4. What are you mainly blogging about?

I try to write three posts each week: one post about a recipe I tried and liked, another one about something personal, travel memories, beauty or home décor and there’s always the weekly Friday Love post.

5. Who/what inspires you the most?

I try to get inspired by the little things in my everyday life.

6. Tell us the most interesting story related to your blog

Last year on July 12th, when I wrote my first Friday Love post after my separation, I received so much love and support that every tear that poured down my cheeks during the writing of this post was worth it.

7. What are your top 5 blogs you read on a regular basis?

I read a looot of blogs everyday, but my fav ones are: Cupcakes and Cashmere by Emily Schuman, Young House Love by Sherry and John Petersik, Joy the Baker by Joy Wilson, Love Taza by Naomi.

I also do a daily visit to my blogging friends: Year two (and beyond) by Heather, blue.white.striped by Mila, Another House Blog by Joanna, Papaya Pieces by Sofia and, obvisouly, Tea Time by Jana.

8. What are your top 3 most favorite blog posts you have ever written?

I’ve moved on: putting on paper what I felt for my ex boyfriend gave me a huge relief. Knowing he read it filled me with satisfaction.

Things guys say: I really had fun writing this post and it still makes me smile every time I read it.

Goodbye 2013 (and please don’t come back): I really enjoyed doing my review of the year in pictures and music, I think I’ll do it again at the end of 2014.

I’m particularly proud of the one and only post I’ve written in French named Lundi matin and I really enjoy writing my weekly Friday Love posts and the #1picaday monthly recaps.

9. Tell us a funny / interesting fact about you we might not know about you.

I eat chocolate every single day. I just can’t help it!

Thanks a lot to Marie-Pier for answering all my questions.

I am a massive chocoholic, too but eating chocolate every single day certainly tops that! If you want to find out more about Marie-Pier and her life, stop by her blog and check out her beautiful pictures!

On a side note: Marie-Pier was one of the bloggers who started the #1picaday Project on Instagram that I am participating in as well! It is great fun! You should join us!

In case you want your blog to be featured in my new Inspirational Bloggers series as well, send me a message and I will check out your blog. Thanks so much for stopping by! I wish you all a lovely weekend!
