I have been taking pictures for a really long time now and improved my photography equipment a lot over the last few years. Photography is just one of my passions and I am still looking for T.H.E. P.E.R.F.E.C.T picture as probably every photographer does.
I am far away from calling myself a “professional” photographer but I am doing my very best and am trying to improve my skills constantly!
That is why I was extremely happy when I was asked to do my first photography job at a birthday party of a friend’s mum! First, I was afraid that I would not be able to fulfill the expectations but now, after reviewing all the pictures, I am kind of satisfied with them. (I just hope my friend feels the same way about them…)
Before I show you the outcome of my first real photography job, I have to say that the party had a bavarian motto. Thus, some of the quests were dressed with Dirndl and Leather Trousers and most of the decoration was bavarian style. I am not a fan of the bavarian style and culture and I am constantly refusing to dress anyhow like that but I still wanted to do a good job and act professionally. Therefore, I just tried to take great pictures and present people, decoration and food in the best possible way.
Keeping that in mind, I now present to you the result of my first photography job (in order to keep the privacy of the party guests, I will not post any pictures of people):
Obviously, the decoration was all blue, red and white and checked as these are the colours and style of the bavarian culture. But not only the decoration was bavarian, also the food was cooked bavarian style. This part of the bavarian culture is one part I actually like as the bavarian cuisine is quite German and solid. If you don’t know what I am talking about, have a look:
Also the venue was selected perfectly for the motto of the event. The regular decoration of the place matched the motto perfectly:
Finally, by the end of the night, when everybody was having fun, we also received a little late night party treat:
I really really enjoyed this first job I did and I hope, I did it the way it was expected from me. I wish I would have more time to actually take pictures and to work with them to get out the best of them. Hopefully, I will have another chance to show my passion for this job as I really LOVE doing it!!!
What are you passionate about? Please share!
I wish you all a great weekend! Enjoy whatever you do the best way possible!!!
