Shakespeare, 60ies and Horse Meat – High Five For Friday #38

High Five For Friday at Tea Time Blog

I have missed my Thursday Thoughts post yesterday due to the fact that I am busy working at a trade show this week. I have managed to prepare my other posts in advance but was way too tired to write one during the last few days…

Anyhow, I did not want to miss out on taking pictures and my weekly High Five For Friday Post, so here we go with this week’s highlights:

1. Time Traveling to Italy’s 60ies

Last Saturday, we walked from Bardolino (That is where our hotel was located) along the shore of the Lago Di Garda to a small village called Garda. Over there, we felt as if we had just time traveled to Italy’s 60ies. I wrote a full report about that over at our Travel Blog so hop over there if you want to find out more.

2. Visiting Verona – The Shakespeare City

Last Sunday then, we figured out that two of our friends from the UK were in Verona, just a 30 minutes drive from the Lago di Garda so we decided spontaneously to go to the city of Shakespeare and see them for lunch. We also stopped by at the famous Romeo and Juliette balcony where we touched the breast of the statue of Juliette which is supposed to give us good luck.

Verona is an amazing city and we are planning on going back there during our holidays in South Tyrol in October…

3. Trying Horse Meat

This is something, many of you will probably find disgusting but in Verona, we tried horse meat during our lunch which is a speciality for that region of Italy and, I have to admit, a very tasty one.

4. Staying in Frankfurt for the Rest of the Week

Tea Time Blog - High Five For Friday - Frankfurt

Since early morning on Tuesday, I am in Frankfurt for a trade show that I am attending for the company, I am working for. I took the chance to meet one of my best friends here in Frankfurt on Tuesday night. The trade show is exhausting again but it is the last one for this year and the remaining months of this year are going to be very quiet and more relaxing than the past ones…

5. Trade Show Break

Tea Time Blog - High Five For Friday - Trade Show

Being at a trade show for 5 days is very tiring and I am always glad when I get home to my hotel bed in the evening so that my feet can relax from the exhausting day. Once a day, I take around 20-30 minutes off from our booth and sit outside next to this tiny water space and just enjoy the great weather we’ve been having here. It is so refreshing to go outside once in a while as the light stays the same the whole day inside and the air inside the trade fair halls is very dry and makes me tired as well.

Weekend Preview:

This weekend will not be exciting at all! I am still at the trade show for one last day on Saturday before we head home to the South on Saturday night. Sunday, I will, once again, spend relaxing and enjoying some one-on-one time with Christian who I have been missing all week.

But the most exciting thing is going to happen on Monday! Something, I have been waiting for for a VERY long time: Our kitchen is going to be delivered!!!! It will still take time until Wednesday night until it will be completely installed and ready to use but I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to that moment!!! I will keep posting pictures on Instagram about the progress.

    • Verona truly is amazing!!! You have to go there when you get a chance! We’ve only been there for 2 hours but we plan to go back in October when we are in South Tyrol for a full week! I love that life is changing back into normal ways now after so many months of working and renovating!!! Time to look at the bright side of life again! I am going to share some Instagram pictures of the new kitchen as soon as it is installed and do a proper shooting with my camera when everything is ready! Have a great weekend!!!
