Tuesday Recipe: My All-Time Favorite Fruity Chorizo Salad

Tea Time Blog - Tuesday Recipe - Fruity Chorizo Salad

Since I discovered Chorizo a long time ago, I am totally addicted to this Spanish delicacy! I started to create my own recipes including Chorizo as a major ingredient. This is how I created the recipe for this fruity chorizo salad! When I used to live in the UK, there was a time when I had this amazing salad almost every single day just because I loved it so much! You can easily prepare it for one or more people. It is a salad but it is not the most healthiest in the world – still it is better than many other dishes you could have instead…

Pick your own amounts of ingredients as this highly depends on the amount of people you would like to serve:

  • Some green salad (whichever sort you like best)
  • Red pepper
  • Cucumber
  • Tomatos
  • Red grapes
  • Chorizo sausage
  • Grated cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Salt, pepper

  1. Cut all the vegetables in little pieces and mix them together in a bowl
  2. Place the mixture in different plates
  3. Fry the chorizo with just a pinch of olive oil (chorizo sausages contains enough fat so that you do not need to add a lot)
  4. Spread the fried chorizo together with the grated cheese on top of the salad
  5. For the dressing mix a little bit of olive oil (1 table spoon per person is usually enough) with the balsamic vinegar and spice according to taste with salt and pepper (you can also add other spices if you prefer)

As you can see, this recipe is fairly flexible. If you would like to exchange some of the vegetables or would like to add some, go ahead! Let me know your own versions of this fruity salad! I am curious to find out more!

    • Yes, me too! The mixture of sweet fruits and vegetables is amazing!!! I also like to include oranges or mandarines in my salads!

  1. Mmm my favorite salads always have some mixture of cheese and nuts. Tonight I’m making a toasted pecan, goat cheese and apple salad over greens!
