Why this week could not have been better – High Five For Friday #40

High Five For Friday at Tea Time Blog

Another fantastic week has past! I cannot tell you, how happy it makes me to work self-employed most of my time! It is simply great to be my own boss and I get to do so many fantastic things I would not want to miss!!! But let’s get started straight away with why this week was so absolutely amazing:

1. A weekend away at the Lake of Constance

Tea Time Blog - High Five For Friday - Rhine River

Last weekend, we went on another weekend trip! (Ever since we started going on weekend vacation, we are unstoppable!) This time, we spent the weekend with our friends at the lake of Constance and we had such an incredible time!!! Most of the time, we were outside and enjoyed the late summer days. With fall just around the corner, these summer days are counted and we try to make the absolut most of it! If you ever visit Constance in your life (which I highly recommend!!!) make sure you also stop by the Rhine river.

2. A glass of wine by the lake

In the evening, we went back to the water again to enjoy a few glasses of wine while watching another beautiful sunset (I am kind of getting addicted to those…). I wish every weekend could be like this!

3. A day trip to Hamburg

Even though, Hamburg is on the other side of the country, I can get there easily by plane in just 1 1/2 hours (yes, that is how small Germany really is…). I went there this Monday for a business meeting at (hold your breath….) the German headquarter of Facebook! Yes, that is right! One of my clients and me had a private workshop there on how to use Facebook for business and it was extremely interesting!

Another great thing about this trip was that I got to check out some cafés which I had seen on Instagram and always wanted to go to! I spend all morning there with a fabulous breakfast to work on my business website!

4. Back in the kitchen

I know, almost every single post lately contained this topic but I am just so incredibly happy that I have my kitchen back!!! On Wednesday, I finally baked for the first time again and I made these really healthy and yummy ginger-raisin-cookies! I am going to share the recipe in my Tuesday Recipe Link-Up next week so make sure to stop by as you definitely don’t want to miss that!

5. Shopaholic is back

I cannot believe that all my favorite authors are releasing new books at the moment but they really do! I have postponed reading the Ken Follett book (it is so long that it is worth taking it with me when we go to South Tyrol the week after next week…) and started the new Shopaholic book by Sophie Kinsella. Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) is one of my most favorite book characters and I can’t wait for another great story!!!

Weekend Preview:

This weekend, surprise, surprise, we are off for another weekend trip! As today is a bank holiday here in Germany, we went to my  hometown yesterday already and will spend the weekend seeing my friends and family. This time, we also took Christian’s sister with us as she has never been to my hometown before!

As always, follow my Instagram account for instant moments…
