Spring Has Sprung – High Five For Friday #15

Hello and welcome back to another High Five For Friday Post here at Tea Time Blog. This last week has passed in no time and I will soon be on the road to go to the airport to fly to Prague tonight but more about that later on… Spring has sprung here in Southern Germany and therefore here comes my spring version of High Five For Friday:

High Five For Friday at Tea Time Blog

1. Homemade Pralines

High Five For Friday - Homemade Pralines

Last weekend, I developed my own recipe for yummy white chocolate pralines with a marzipan and poppy seed filling! I can’t wait to give you the recipe this Sunday!!!

2. Homemade Pesto

High Five For Friday - Homemade Pesto

Christian’s parents have a huge garden and in there, bear’s garlic is currently growing. We picked some last Sunday and as we still had fresh basil at home, we decided to make our own homemade pesto out of it!!! It worked out perfectly and I couldn’t be more proud about the result! Will share the recipe soon!

4. The Hundred Year Old who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared

High Five For Friday - Cinema

I have not been to the cinema IN AGES!!! Honestly! The last movie I saw in the cinema was American Pie – The Reunion in 2012… But then I found out that there was a new movie based on a novel that I absolutely LOVED: The Hundred Year Old who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared. Did you read that book? If not, I totally recommend you do so as it is brilliant!!! It reminds me a bit of Forrest Gump just based in Sweden. The movie is a swedish production and also totally worth watching!!! I sat there crying of laughter as the actors played all the characters amazingly well! We also took Christian’s parents with us as they loved the book, too. Those two have not been to a cinema in 30 (!!!) years so it was about time…

5. Mountain Bike Tour

High Five For Friday - Mountain Biking

As we were eating constantly this past weekend, we had to do something for our fitness as well to stay in shape for the summer. That’s why we went on another mountain bike tour on Monday. It was a bit cloudy but I still enjoy riding my mountain bike through the fantastic landscapes of the Allgäu. It is so beautiful here and I am so grateful that I can live in a place where others travel to for holidays. 5. Spring Most of the trees around here are in full blossom right now which is my most favorite time of the year (desperately trying to ignore my hay fever here…). Isn’t everything so beautiful after the grey winter months??? All the colors and blossoms… *sigh*… I also shared some more spring pictures with you this week which I took a year avon in South Tyrol.
